Assalam alikum my dear brother and sisters.

I just want to ask: why does anyone want to know if our Porphet Muhammad (SAW) was black or not? At the end of the day, it does not make a difference. He (SAW) still had a message and it still needs to be followed by all of mankind. So regardless of whether our Nabi (SAW) was black or not, we are all muslims (Al-humdullah) and we still need to carry on inviting others to Islam (Insh'Allah).

Also, the Shahabah (Companians of our Muhammad-SAW) were trained in such a way that they only asked questions that were neccessary and would benefit them. So why do we ask questions about things that would not benefit us whilst we could ask for things that could? We do we spend our time with minor things like this that can not benefit us?

A muslim is encouraged to do things that will benefit him/her. So let us ask questions that relate to us and would (By The Grace and Mercy of Allah-SWT) Inshallah benefit us.

It may not make a difference to you, but it makes a difference to blacks that Mohammed was black. Imagine that the founder of Islam was a black man, this is significant, if for no other reason that there were, or are, black slaves in arabia.
