Salam
This is a brief explaination of what happen to the soul In Islam Now we were told that the soul of the believers wonder around freely they even go around getting news on their loved one from the newly died person but as far as we now there s no confirmation that that they go around in the house where they use to reside. as to the one who are wicked they are locked in preoccupied with the torments of the grave. Here is the Main problem since souls are free to wonder around can a dead person's soul meet up with the one who is still asleep? According to Al-Qayyim it is possible and based on the Quran, i must say that it is essential to critically analyze the proofs. he uses this Aya: "Allah takes souls at the time of ther death and[the souls] of those that do not die during Whereas He releases the rest for an appointed term". Basically what he is saying is that since both type of souls are free to wonder somewhere(allah(SWT)knows) both types can meet up and exchange news. We all now that both types return to ther bodies afterwards those of the death if they are good souls remain free till judgement day the foul souls have to return to the grave to be question by the two Angels:MUNKAR and NAKIR and for the term of its torment in the grave So if we accept that position from the above aya then that may result in having to hear about some people being able to meet the death(good souls only). In the past people did have many tales some true some are confirmed about the last life(??) That may explain why we dream since we see moving images and some Visions are true. We must however make a difference between Vision and dream A vision is a Ru'ah Ahlam(dreams) According to haddith in al Bukhari and muslim dream is from Satan ,A vision is from Allah(SWT)and that is why you can not dream about the prophet it's called a vision the next Question can a soul meet an awake person? As far as the Quran says it is not possible: "the disbelievers persist in their rejection of the truth of the Resurrection untill when death comes to one of them,he says .My Lord, send me back [to life]so that i may work in righteousness regarding things left behind." But no! It is only a word he says;and behind them is a barrier until the day they are raised." the above only talks about the non beliving soul does that mean the Muslim one is ok not included?. lets see the next Aya: "O you who believe,do not let your wealth and children distract you from the remembrance of Allah. Those of you who do so are the losers. And spend in charity something from that which We have provided you before death comes to one of you, whereupon he says,"My lord, if only you would grant me respite for a while,.................But Allah never grant reprive to any soul when appointed time has come.................. I just wanted to point out that Allah never does grant that wish. so the answer is no. Also in Sunnah in al- Tarmidhi,Muslim state that the soul does not come back to earth and meet an awake person. In the books the same subject is talked about mainly in Samuel,8,10,13-15 17-18 the story of the Philistines when Saul was exceedingly jealous of David who became a national hero etc..... the whole story talked about the Prophet Moses (pbuh) but we all know that Samuel existed much later than Moses which shows how the only testimony is ommited so we should not rely on it expecialy the contradiction in chapter 9 of I Samuel where it says that Saul was correpted and not one of children of israel yet in chap 10 it says God chosen Samuel as a captain over His inheritance (the spirit of the lord) but the Quran states otherwise it tells us that Talud(Saul)was appointed by Allah(SWT) so we can not rely on a book that has too many errors. I hope that explains things clearly and pray to Allah to teach us nothing but the truth.Amen. wa Salam |
