Magic in Islam and predicting the future

Salam

I promised to start a thread about Magic /astrology and about predicting the future.

Magic is an old human practice. It is sometimes defined as deception by showing something to an audience, which is contrary to reality. In Islam this is part of magic, which is, however, defined as seeking the help of demons to perform something harmful against somebody.
In the light of the above definition, Islam considers magic to be an act of blasphemy. Thus, the Holy Quran say:

"Suleiman (Solomon) did not disbelieve, but the devils disbelieved teaching men magic" (2:102)
In an authentic saying, the Prophet of Islam p.b.u.h. said: Whoever goes to a fortune teller (a soothe sayer) or a diviner and believes him, has, in fact, disbelieved in what has been revealed to Muhammad.
Thus Islam condemns magic- even what is called the horoscope or luck or reading one's palm to foretell the future is also prohibited in Islam. This is based on the belief that no one knows the future or the unseen except God almighty. That is why the Quran asserts that even Muhammad does not know the unseen. Concerning this, it says:

"If I had the knowledge of the unseen, I should have secured abundance for myself, and no evil would have touched me" (7:188).
Again, God is described in the Quran as the knower of the unseen and the manifest (6:73) and as the holder of the keys of the unseen (6:59).
In another tradition, Prophet Muhammad p.b.u.h. says: "Avoid the seven deadly acts which are: ascribing partners to God, magic, killing the human self which Allah prohibited except with right, eating usury, devouring the orphan's wealth, defecting from the battle-field (without a justified reason) and slandering chaste, unwary believing women. Thus Islam has closed the door for practicing magic, simply because it is against its teachings, and it is deceptive and harmful.

Let us now review some of the verses of the Holy Quran that refer to magic: In Chapter two verse 101-102, the Quran says:

"And when there came to them a Messenger from Allah confirming what was with them, a party of those who were given the scripture threw away the book of Allah behind their backs as if they did not know. And they followed what the devils gave out falsely of magic of the reign of Solomon; for Solomon did not disbelieve but the devils disbelieved, teaching men magic and such things that came down at Babylon to the two angels Harut and Marut, but neither of these two (angles) taught anyone (such things) until they had said: we are only for trial, so don't disbelieve. And from them (magicians) people learn that through which they would cause separation between a person and his spouse, but they could not thus harm anyone except by Allah's leave; and they learn that which harms them rather than profits them. And indeed they knew that its practitioner would have no share in the Hereafter. And how bad indeed was that for which they sold their own selves if they but knew" (2:101-2).
Although Solomon was the Prophet and Messenger of God, he was accused by some of his opponents to be practicing magic. Those who claimed this could not distinguish between magic and miracles. Almost all messengers of God were granted miracles as a proof of their authenticity. To name only a few: Moses was granted the staff by which he could divide the sea and make water gush from rocks. Abraham was flung in the middle of a huge raging fire, which Allah made cool and peaceful to him. Jesus Christ could heal the blind and the leper and bring back the dead to life.
If we contemplate these acts we find that miracles are totally different from magic. While magic is always harmful, miracles are useful. Magic is from devils while miracles are from God. When these divine miracles are rejected other miracles are imposed to inflict severe punishments on rejecters. On the other hand, miracles are real while magic is sometimes deceptive.

It may be said that the Prophet Muhammad p.b.u.h. was himself exposed to the effect of magic. How could you explain this? This is true; but God saved him from the spell of magic through the repeated remembrance of God and the recitation of some chapters and verses of the Holy Quran. This took place to confirm the humility of Muhammad p.b.u.h. who was a human like other humans. This made it easier for his followers to imitate him. Two questions are pertinent in context: How to protect one's self from magic? And how to treat a person under the spell of magic?

Prophet Muhammad p.b.u.h. provided us with the recipe through which we can protect ourselves from magic. We shall be immune from magic if we recite - after the five daily prayers - the last three chapters of the Holy Quran which are number 112, 113 and 114

Black magic {Sihr} is something that definitely exists and causes harm to people. The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) was also afflicted with black magic.

I have read up on this and numerous scholars mention that by reciting Surat al-Falaq and al-Nas is beneficial in the removing of and protection from black magic. Also we all should make a habit of reciting these especially when retiring to bed and after the Fard prayers. There are many virtues of these two Surahs mentioned in the Ahadith.

Also Khoya, ,before parting, I would like to state that undoubtedly black magic is something that exits but it is observed that many people experience some type of downfall or illness and quickly jump to the conclusion that somebody has carried out black magic and start pointing fingers at others. If a wo/man refuses to marry someone whom the parents want him/her to marry, then the parents begin to regard it to be the cause of black magic. Similarly, if the relations of the husband and wife turn sour, the first assumption is that it must be black magic that was carried out by such and such person. Black magic is regarded to be the cause behind every minor and major illness.

This type of understanding is incorrect. One should not be too hasty in concluding that the cause of a problem is black magic, because more often than not, black magic has nothing to do with the problem.

Secondly, due to this, many people have made it a business, in that they deceive people in making them believe that they have some sort of black magic done upon them, thus they are charged with a massive sum for the treatment. People have made thousands in this business.

May Allah Most High guide us all towards the right direction, Ameen.

May Allah forgive me if I erred any where, and may Allah give us all the efficiency to observe our duties enjoined upon us, and demand our rights where necessary. Ameen.

friend now i am going to tell you the symptoms of black magic.
if you have any of these symptoms then you are also suffering from black magic.
1) if some one sees motion or urine in his dream or see himself in bathroom or with the motion attached to his body, see himself/herself in unhygienic condition.
2) headache.
3) the whole body is in pain.
4) the one wishes or wants to have sex.
5) back-ache or has pain in kidneys
6) smelly fats.
7) feels like the body is on fire.
8) the whole body remains hot and so does the mouth.
9) eyes remain red and feels irritation in eyes.
10) you feel to go to the bathroom after a little while for urine and motion.
11) fast heat beats.
12) difficulty in breathing and have chest pain.
13) become irritant.
14) face complexion changes and becomes darker day by day. the more worse the magic is the more your complexion will become darker.
15) feel pain in stomach and you will be having diarrhea like stiuation.
16) pimples appear on the face.
17) face becomes terrible no attraction left in the face.
18) feeling anxiety.
19) becomes impatient.
20) you have all the happiness in life but still you don’t feel happy.
21) what ever you eat you feel hungry again in about an hour and a half.
22) you don’t wish to offer prayer and day by day you go away from religion.
23) always you have throat problem and the voice quality is also affected.
24) get scared in dreams. sometimes sees snakes, spiders, lizards, and cockroaches in dream.
25) you have fear in your heart.
26) feels like some one injecting pins in body.
27) get pain in stomach and feel nausea.
28) become lazy. and sleep for longer durations.
29) you forget where you put things and spend rest of the day in finding. in money transactions give more money.
30) starts hating your self.
31 - seeing blue or pink dots or seeing funny lines
32 - feeling tired without any reason
33 - by reading or hearing the quran do you get pain in your body
34 - feeling sick and hot

40 - when you cook a lot does a bad smell come

43 - seeing dogs and dead people as well as ants in your dream

45 - taking medicine which works at the beginning then starts giving you more problems
46 - seeing a women and man having sex meaning a wet dream
47 - body head and shoulders feeling heavy
48 - getting marks on your body
49 - body feels weak for no reason
50 - feeling dizzy and blacked out
51 - getting red spots on the body
52 - on hearing the azan you run away and you hate the azan
different types of magic has different symptoms but the one i wrote before are also present. now this is upon the magician what sort of pain he wants to give to the victim. for example if magician wants to make some girl disrespectful in society and wants to make her parents ashamed in society. then he will do that kind of magic that increases her sex appeal and then starts controlling her mind with his magic. he will do such magic that makes her heart willing to do sex. he will make her body hot so that she becomes hot. he will do such magic that makes her stop thinking then do this that she will be away from offering prayers and quran because offering prayers and reciting quran breaks magic.
this is the magic of sex this is mainly done coz of jealousy, in this kind of situation the girls mind stops working the only thought she has in mind is having sex and she doesn’t know what is happening with her she always thinks about this and atlast she does this with someone. this is the magic of sex.
many people said this quran cant break magic and they think only another reverse magic can stop it. if someones magic is not breaking then there must be a reason behind this and that is also not compulsory that every kind of magic can break only by reciting 4 qul. doctors don’t use same/one medicines to cure different diseases same is in this case we need to find the symptons and then find out what kind of magic has been cast on the victim. different surahs are used to cut different magics each surah has its own uses 4 qul not always cut each type of magic.

Hey morocconow, Did you actually read through all that mumbo-jumbo, or are you genetically programed to spot the word "sex" in any text.
There has been a scientific study at a renowned university in the US that came to the conclusion that the easiest way for a guy to improve a woman's sex appeal is for the guy to down a dozen beers or so - this works all over the world and the brand of beer is irrelevant.

Ah the famous beer goggles...yes I've heard of this technique. I also believe it has the same effect for women but the drink of choice being champagne not beer. Could be just a myth tho...
