Asalamu alaikum

Subhaan`Allaah so beautiful...

Indeed, tears come to our eyes when we remember the dua one of the Mujahideen was making during the pain and suffering in Gul Agha's torture camp. "O Allah! O our Lord! We have not come here for any reason except to raise Your word, except to fight against the people who are killing the ones who say "Laa ilaaha illallaah (There is no God but Allah)". O Allah, make this torture easy upon us. O Allah! let not any of our brothers or sisters taste a bit of this torture. O Allah, we know that Your paradise is not cheap, but Allah we are weak, we are weak, O our Lord, the Most High"

"O Prophet! Say to your wives and your daughters and the women of the faithful to draw their outergarments (jilbabs) close around themselves; that is better that they will be recognized and not annoyed. And God is ever Forgiving, Gentle." Surat al-Ahzab ayah 59

Samira, I agree with you when it comes to the part of the torture of those prisoners. Those photos brought tears to my eyes too. However, I don't see how you can call those people Mujahideen? I mean you don't even know why some of them were in jail. Most of them were there for robberies, rape and criminal act away before the Americans got there. Let's not be naïf please. Not every Arabic victim or prisoner is a Moujahid. As matter of fact, it's hard now days to classify any one anymore as Mojahid.

It's clear from their duaa why they were taken to prison, "We have not come here for any reason except to raise Your word, except to fight against the people who are killing the ones who say "Laa ilaaha illallaah (There is no God but Allah)". O Allah, make this torture easy upon us.". They would hardly be praying to Allah with such words if they were in jail for robbery or rape!

Gul agha's camp is in Afghanistan, not Iraq. And if these prisoners were in prison before, when the taliban was in power they wouldnt be in jail now.

Lastly, it isnt hard to classify mujahideen as the one who is fighting fisabeeililah is a mujahid and there will always be mujahideen as the prophet (SAW) said there will always be a group from my ummah engaged in g-had. .

who are you talking about, and who are talking to?
People like you are making religions hard to follow. Beliefs like yours make it hard to someone like me who prefers to use his brain when discussing issues not to pay it any attention. Why are we complicating things. Rights and wrongs are easy to see and understand. There is no need to go that far to explain to me this much.

Do you see how religion sometimes can make someone as bright to sound very rediculous

lol

That quote is from the 'mujahideens duaa' which i posted originally! that is what i am talking ABOUT. You read it and then you replied to it. Maybe you only skimmed through it.

And to be honest I dont really care how my beliefs make things hard or easy for you. I know you pride yourself on being so 'open minded' but personally I pray that I'm never 'open minded' to the extent I welcome ALL beliefs within myself and take myself out of the fold of Islam. Inshallah I'll always be a muslimah and I'll never change or comprimise my beliefs to please anyone. By the way, I'm only using the term 'open minded' for arguments sake because personally I just see it as being confused or lost.

And no, I don't see how religion can make one sound ridiculous... I find it quite pathetic not to know what you believe and what you dont, what is right and what is wrong... to be lost in the world with no set of beliefs is a sorry state to be in.

Islam is a perfect and beautiful religion, it needs no effort on my part to try and beautify it to suit you or anyone else. It is the fastest growing religion in the world, anything you dislike about Islam is a fault from your part and not Islam's.

No offence intended by this post, just being frank simple-

Samira, it's not about being open minded or not it's about having a brain or not. Your Adoption questions told me everything I needed to know about you. And let me tell you sister, it will take a miracle to get you out of your darkness The God thing is God work miracles and your situation is no exception.

Caring about Islamic rulings, does not make one brainless. Not everyone is content with following their vain wishes and desires, and labelling it as 'logic'.
