One must remember wealth is not permanent, you just have to look at Saddam Hussain's Palaces to understand that.
Like the above post quotes if Allah(SWT) said riba is haram it's because it is and there is no short cut to it.

There are reasons for every thing that is Halal and Haram and one is to look into these reasons and do what ever their nefs lets them.

Yes there is a reason for everything. But the reason for riba might have just been for some situation that happened 1400 years ago,and has no bearing on today.
