Assalmu alaikum all,

I've been thinking for the past couple of days due to something Sista said on the 'Are you scared...' thread.

How do we balance the life of this world with the hereafter. I came accross this article by chance and I think it is amazing. It talks about achieving clarity in intention and knowing which decisions are for Allah subhana wa ta3ala, and which are for us.

Please read and tell me what you think.

Wa Salam

Cool Food for thought

That was a very interesting piece. I'll shall have to read it completely a little later but from what i read it certainly does make you think about the life of this world.

I have been pondering the dilema of how it is possible to achieve a true balance between living this life and simultaneous increasing imam. I'm not sure of other peoples experience but for a while i have felt that the two are diametrically oppossed. This is because we are largely obliged to engage in work or study that is not directly connected to Islam. A part in the article - "it is by the remembrance of Allah that hearts find peace" - is so true but there is always more that one can do to fulfill their deen, if 9-5 you indulge in work or study that is not islamically orientated then how do you really achieve that??

Just some thoughts

Salams sis and boombastic topic, does make one think. Kost of the time we do not really question whether we are doing enough until we hear that some one has died.

We dont really know when our time will be up and most importantly are we ready to face Allah SWT.

Moooooah
and chat later
