Mortgages In Islam?

Salaam alaikum,

I am saddened that nobody has offered an opinion in the two months since I posted mine.

Since then, the rulers of the West's financial castles have poured unimaginable sums of money into their institutions in order to refloat the concepts of usury and debt. These huge sums have been taken from the pockets of the common man , the common man who was himself the victim of the sellers of debt in the first place.
What can be done to overthrow this system of mortgage slavery I do not know. Perhaps it is sufficient in itself, for the time being, that the system of usury is laid bare for the common man to see and evaluate before offering himself and his spouse to the yoke of irredeemable debt.

I look forward to further opinions.
