This month is filled with nice pretexts to go out wherever you are in Morocco or even abroad. From the Casablanca Boulevard des Jeunes concerts and the Fez Festival of World Sacred Musics, to the Essaouira Festival at the end of the month, you will have plenty of opportunities to leave your slippers in their cupboard. Check here for events occurring near your home, and do not forget to come back for updates.

CASABLANCA


Event:
Exhibition, a tribute to the late French writer and philosopher Jean Paul Sartre.

Event: “Magic Pencil,” an exhibition featuring about 80 original paintings by British children's book illustrators. For more information.

Event: Moroccan linguistics specialist Moha Ennaji presents his latest book “Multilingualism, cultural identity and education in Morocco”.

Event: “Al Andalus,” Dance spectacle by the Blanca Li company. Blanca Li, a Spanish dancer residing in France, will present a series of danses, from Flamenco to hip hop, classical or baroque dance.

Complexe Culturel Moulay Rachid, transport available from the French Institute at 7:45 p.m.

Price:
MAD 20 for students, MAD 60 for members and MAD 90 for non-members.


Event:
“Maimónides : Edad de Oro de Sefarad en Al Andalus” (Maymonides or the Golden Age of the “Sefarads” in Al Andalus), a concert by Eduardo Paniagua. Paniagua is considered as one of the best Spanish musicians in the field of Middle Age music reinterpretation. His musical work in favour of cultural coexistence led him to be awarded the Medal of the four Sefarad Synagogues of Jerusalem in October 2004.

Story telling evening (in French) presented by ethno-story teller Jean-Roger Rolland. Rolland, who knows Moroccan tales very well will present a series of ancient stories then lead a debate.
