.....but they meet and live happy

you should be happy that you are using what ALLAH SWT has given you ,and yes if it would take for the both of you to succeed in life, love and hereafter to embrace Islam and endure your relation for ever inshallah you must think about it.
as for papers etc..,from my own experience ,my marriage with a western moroccan girl never happened due to her lies and I THANK ALLAH SWT that this never happened ,of cource it takes time to realise it.
as for papers ,visa as you see North African men is threatened targeted even by his own sisters..
i bet it is a good faith and destiny you have taken the extra mile and have used your good faith and spirit to love this man "hisham"despite all what plp say.
i have to say ..go for it but use your mind and don't hide your worries from hisham, better now than later ..
sometimes your soul-mate may be from another world

Funkygirl - I think it's wonderful how eager and interested you are to learn more about Morocco! It's always good to have an interest in other cultures - helps shape you and makes you more open minded. Good luck with the spanish!

I hardly speak Arabic myself but I'll try and help with the translations!

*wrak = papers (i.e visa/passport etc)
*Gawri = a european/foreign man (I think...)
*Sejour = this is french but basically means holiday
*Bnat Bladna = this is plural and is hard to translate directly, but would mean girls from home..)
*Moudwana = this is the family law that is in place in Morocco

Hope that helps - everyone else, please feel free to correct!!

AHHH Now that makes mucho more sense now!!!
Thanks Chick!!
yes I do seem to have a bit of a thing about Morroco but ive always felt that im living in the wrong country if that makes sense?? The colours the fabrics the textiles etc, all have made a big impression on me throughout my life. In fact when I met my lovely Morrocan man I think I reminded him of home!! As alot of what I was wearing he kept pointing out to me was moroccan style which i hadnt realised, but I jus like the style thrown in with a bit of hiphop, vogue etc you know what i mean im sure.

So Nadia where are you from??

PEACE

One of the reasons that I have joined Morocco.com is to try to find out these sort of things. Im very ignorant about such issues as ive never had any arabic / muslim friends. The Islamic faith im finding out is very similar to what I believe, and I would love to find out more about this as im very interested about THE TRUTH. Have you tired contacting the local mosque? They usually have tons of info for you. Not to mention the huge number of members here from England.
