Anybody use this range?

I went to the hairdresser this weekend and was told that my colour may not catch as I use this range. I said to the hairdresser I was only using it for about a month so she said that's ok.

Apparently this haircare range coats the hair with long term use and so makes coloring difficult?

Any thoughts? Ghazala?

Smile Happy Monday!

Mmm that's interesting. The only product I use from the range is the serum. I wouldn't know about colour catching because I don't dye my hair either. Sorry to be useless lol. If it makes any difference, my hair is still much the same colour as it was. Chestnut/red brown & it hasn't got any darker with this serum. Maybe its if you use the shampoo etc.?

So, how does your hair look after the trip to the hairdressers?

Yeah, thanks sis. I think it applies to the shampoo/conditioner not serum.

Apparently the hair gets coated. How does my hair look...see Nadia thread

Putting colour aside, did she say if coating improves the condition of hair? If so, I might try it & stop again when greys come through (hopefully in a few years time at least )so I can cover them quick smart

For anyone who IS greying, do you think you should start colouring straight away or wait till you get loads?

She didn't favor Brilliant Brunette (BB) at all, and she wasn't trying to sell me stuff She said BB makes the hair look healthy and shiny (like mine was), but it is a false positive i.e. the coating makes the hair shine and gives brunettes a brown gloss but deep down the hair shaft is not nourished.

Also, by having the coating on (very slight, does not really affect color or cover greys) it precludes you from having a successful dye later.

Greys I dunno. Hamdolillah have not had one yet and my mum at 49 doesn't either so Incha-Allah I will be like her and not like my dad!

However I would say that cover only the greys wih a colour that matches your natural colour instead of uses colour on your whole head?

Same here. My mum has the odd one or two & she's 48. On my dad's side they're all grey from their early twenties Al hamdulilah haven't got any yet so :PHEW: looks like I won't be following that side of the family

I agree, looks better when people just dye the odd greys instead of the whole head. Best to wait until the 'cobweb effect' begins to take place before doing the whole head
