When it comes to getting/keeping fit, healthy and burning fat and calories... Why don't more women like to lift weights, when they are working out?

here's an interesting site:

WEIGHTS R NOT NEDED 4 GIRLS

you dnt understand women then, weights build musle, fitnes and tone are what is needed and it is not of relevance to weights, its about that tread mill, cross trainer, stepper, sit ups , push ups and those arobics clases such as 50/50, boxercise, kickcercise and less streneous yoga, pilates which improve flexibility/ GIRLS THERES MORE OUT THERE FOR YOU THEN YOU THINK. SO GET OFF THAT *** AND TRAIN FOR THE FUTURE

Through lifting weights and developing Muscle, Women can also have better body tone and definition, be physically stronger, will burn more body fat (just through having Muscle) etc - also, because women don't have the same amount of hormones that cause the enlargement of Muscles, they can't bulk up like men can.. unless they were to take the appropriate supplements...

DUE TO THE DIFEERENT HORMONE I WILL SUGGEST THAT YOU INSTEAD USE FORMS OF EXCECISE TO BUILD THAT TONE AND INCREASE STRENGTH SUCH AS A MARTIAL ARE.I CAN ONLY SPEAK SO BRIEFLY AND NOT HAVE A FULL DISCUSSION DUE TO THE FACT ITS A DIFULT WAY T GET A POINT ACROSS WITH THE SWIFTNESS NEEDED FOR YOU TO TOTALLY UNDERSTAND WHERE AM COMING FROM, IVE BEEN INTO FITNESS EVCER SINCE A MY MY TEENS AND NOW EVEN THOUGH I AGREE WITH YOU I FEEL THAT THERE ARE MORE BENIFICIAL WAYS OR ACTIVITIES FOR WOMEN TO DO OR GET INVOLVED IN TO BENIFIT THEM PSYSICALLY AND MENTALLY AND WHILE HAVING FUN, COZ TRUST ME WEIGHTS ARE NOOO WAAAAY FUNNNNNN! AND FOR BOTH GENDERS, STATISTICS SHOW IF YOU OBIVIOUSLY DNT LIKE SOMTHING INA GYM YOU WILL NOT GO BACK. (THE STATISTICS WERE MADE UP, JUST COMMON SENSE. LOL)

thanks for the website, it came in handy, i am a gym freak and go around 3/4 times a week. I find lifting weights a good way to release stress, also if you combine weights with a 30 mins cardio work out then u cant go wrong.
I find rowing one of the best things for all over work out, it tones my legs, tummy, butt and arms. Also the older u get if you look after yr body you will always look younger and hv more energy.
