Hi yngwie - Welcome!

Moroccan currency is the Dirham - £1 is generally the equivalent of about 15 - 16 Dirhams.

Smile

In Singapore, we use the Singapore Dollars(SGD).
US$=1SGD
1BPD=2.95SGD

UK is a rather costly country!

Anyway, I am glad to come across this website.
So far in my life, i have come across 2 Moroccans,
and i am very thrilled to meet them and know them.

One was living in Germany, and was an exchange student
attachment.

The other i met when i was in Saudi. It took me by surprise
when i saw an old couple walking down the street with their
heads covered-up. I thought to myself, where are this wandering
Christian monks going to, are they lost?

Later i found out that they were wearing their national costume,
the jalabah. Now i have 4 of them in my wardrobe! (he,he,he)

I think it is the C O O L E S T clothe i have seen on the face of this earth.
And both the guys that i met, their Arabic is superb!! I was simply flabbergasted!

Not to mentioned, they find it weird, that where i come from, the people can read Arabic, but they understand not the meaning.

On another occasion, i was told that the best standards/systems in learning in Arabic comes from Morocco and Sudan! Wow!

cheers!
