No problem Jamal, that is what I am here for.

Oh yes, it is very real. I do not know how long a girl could stay in prison but I can tell you that the Moroccan authorities do not find this kind of thing as a joke, they will enforce the law (and there is no escaping the police in Morocco, they are everywhere). I am not trying to scare you but it is real. If you wish to marry a girl then you will have to go through the Moroccan system and there is no way around it. It is not only Moroccans, Islam forbades all Muslimah from marrying a non-Muslim. You said that you have Muslim family members, I suggest that they share with you about this subject, I think it is very important and they should be a good source of information for you.

And check out the situation that you get into before you get in too deep in. I do not want to say too much but trust me, there is good reason for this. Make wise choices, not one's that are lead by exotic scenery and feelings.
