Italian man and Moroccan girlfriend in Morocco - how to behave?

Hi,

I am Italian and will be visiting El Jadida with my Moroccan girlfriend. She is also an Italian resident, but holds a Moroccan passport.

She has not been back to Morocco for many years and never visited with a boyfriend before, so she is not sure on the following:

Can we be seen in public together? At restaurants, cafes, beach?
Can we show any signs of affection, such as holding hands, kissing?
Can we drive in her car (with Italian registration plates) together?
I know that we should not share the same hotel room, but if caught what are the consequences for us both?

Coming from Europe I have heard many things on how to behave in Morocco with my girlfriend, ranging from "do not go!" to "oh, everything is OK, you can even rent a flat together".
