True.. the issue is that the Matrix(microsoft) owns everyone now and it's hard to chose between the red or the blue pill.
When you have tons and tons of tools working only under Microzeft Windoz, what will you do?

yeah .. but it's technically possible to develop software and games... that work under MAC, Linux and solaris too as well as windows.. that's what they are busy doin'.

one more thing... Windows is not used by the sensible US government organization at all (like the pentagon, CIA, FBI, NSA...).. they use more Linux and other OS..

and many governments in the 3rd world (Brazil..) are promoting the use of Linux and any other good free software...

Not quite correct. The popularity of Windows over the public and non-tech users is nehind its troubles. Any operating system has some holes here or there that a hacker or a virus could use to affect it, but most virus makers won't care to spend time and efforts on something that won't have a great impact where it always happens with Windows that is dominating 90% of computers.
I don't say that Windows is the best operating system but as a reliable solution you can't ignore this piece from Microsoft.
BTW, I was reading this morning on a website that it's possible now to run Mac OS x on PCs now, it's not supported by Apple though.
