First of all, NEVER respond to e-mails from someone you don't know. In fact, you should delete them before you even read them.
Never use credit cards on a public computer such as in a library or internet cafe. (you were right to be cautious). It's my understanding that most "cookies" are harmless and can actually be helpful in many cases. |

Absolutely, cookies can be a necessity! Especially if you use so called secured zones, such as sites for banking etc. The url will then always start with https://
Anyway, cookies are also to spy on your behaviour as a consumer of internetsites. So your possible interests will be sold to advertisementsites. Angelita, I doubt the Mossad, FBI, CIA or even la DST is leaving cookies behind on your pc They have other methods to spy on you.
