In the Sahara we find tawareg , also referred to as Tawashaq ( a cognate of Tamazight )..

Arabs , Europeans and even Amazigh people no longer call themselves berbers but ony few people..So when we say being an Amazigh it indicates being either a Tsshelyit , Tamazight or Tariyft ..

freemocy: "Understood ?" <<<<<<<

so you became an expert in Amazigh issues? quite an achievment!!!!

freemocy: "Arabs , Europeans and even Amazigh people no longer call themselves berbers but ony few people" bowaaaahahahahahahahhaha

this is really funny, my Amazigh expert!....

amazigh people never call themselves berbers .... but Europeans and arabs do call us berbers/ al barbar ... a lot of arabs even call us : al barabera...

we in northern morocco call our language Tamazight n Arif ... the word Iznasiyen... was an old name of a Rifan tribe... it's no more used and even unknown to most of us...

................

ok let me play the expert in arab languages..:

arabic is a semetic language was spoken originally in the arabian peninsula... before the arab-muslims invaded: syria, iraq, palestine, egypt and north africa and spread arabic and the islam....

today there are many dialectal arab languages derived from the classical arabic.. the classical arabic is still used in education and religious activities... but the spoken arabic is much different from it..

there are about 30 different forms of spoken arabic... spoeken in Iraq, syria, lebanon, sudan, libya, saudi arabia, yemen...etc

in their daily life, arabs use only arab dialects...

in the media both classical and dialectal arabic are used

and in most 'arab' countries the language of higher education and business is mostly English or french..

understood?
