Amazigh is subdivided into the following major groupings :
In Morocco we have Tashelhiyt in the south west , Tamazight in the central part and South-East , Tarifiyt in the North and North-East.This latter area is where Taznasniyt is spoken.. In the Sahara we find tawareg , also referred to as Tawashaq ( a cognate of Tamazight ).. Arabs , Europeans and even Amazigh people no longer call themselves berbers but ony few people..So when we say being an Amazigh it indicates being either a Tsshelyit , Tamazight or Tariyft .. Understood ?
