Wow...what a sweeping statement...not one single thing. When everyday new things are discovered about the world and the universe around us.

I want to say that whatever the science has proved, the Quran already mentioned it 14000 years ago. So why not to believe the Allah who already know about the things science is proving.

Scientists use their discoveries to benefit mankind (and admittedly sometimes to do harm).
Praying to a deity won't help you in a medical crisis - the advances of science will.
And that's just one example of the benefits of science...

Science has disproved many scientific claims made by the Quran, which by the way were mentioned in the Bible first. It's well known that Muhammed had frequent contact with both Christians and Jews so it's very likely he came by a lot of his knowledge this way.

On creation for example the Bible states God made the world in 6 days and on the 7th he rested, the Quran also states the world was created in 6 days. Science has since proved that it took billions of years for the world we know to reach a state where it could support life.

You really have to take the scientific claims of all religious books in the context of the time they were written. I would put my trust in science because miracles in today's world cannot be relied upon. But that does not prevent me having a faith in God as a higher power.

If it wasn't for innovative thinkers, we wouldn't even be having this discussion on the internet.

Sam Harris makes some very worthwhile points on his website and in his books.
