The Building, Finishing the Mosque Room & Corridors

The Mosque room is about 60 x 60 feet square with diagonal corners. Each side of the Mosque Room has an extension that goes out twenty seven feet in the entranceway and twenty five feet out at the sides and back extensions. There are rooms in the extensions. On each side of the side and back extensions there is an alcove about 6 x6 feet square. There may be other doors in the alcove and each alcove has a dark metal exit door which is rectangle and comes to a triangle top where the doors meet. The entrance way does not have alcoves, they have the right angle window and white wall in place of the alcoves.
The corridors run from the right angle in the entranceway to the first alcove. The other corridor is the same but opposite. The walk thru runs from the side alcoves to the back alcove.
I designed the alcove exits to lead to the bedroom wings of the Palace. The wings are looped. The back wing has the moat around it with a moat bridge. There also is a lower levels where the boys rooms are. It is less formal down there. More about that at another time.
Outside you can see that the corridors with the stain glass windows are one story high. Also the walk thrus. They have a three foot high ceiling. Outside the ceiling is covered with smoothe concrete which also comes down to form a valance over the windows on the outside. There is a concrete 5 inch border in between the side windows and the center window of each section. You can see the brick columns in between the windows. The outside of the Mosque is light brown brick. a little darker brown brick and medium brick. Inside they are the same. The shingles on the roof are dark brown clay pot shingles. They may have some black specks in the shingles. This is basically the layout of the Mosque Palace. The extensions are like a rectangle box with a peaked roof that ties into the higher Mosque Roof.

Inside I decided that there should be another Mosque plate in the center shelf of the other hutch. Not a crystal dragon. This plate may be a little larger than the others. The crystal dragons would be on the shelf of the TV units. The TV is in the center of the unit there are twoo shelves of books under the TV. There is a door on either side of the two shelves and this is where DVDs would be stored. The DVD player would be on top of the TV. There are two cubicles on each side of the TV. There would be a framed picture of the younger children. Neeta and Amaraa in the top cubicles and Maboto and Abdul in the bottom cubicles. The crystal dragons are on the top shelf of the unit which has a divider in the middle. There would be two dragons on each side. Opposites of each other. The dragons are clear but have red crystal wings. The units are set up the same except the boys books may be different than the girls.
The chior chairs are not stained white. They would be Moroccan red/brown stain to match the doors. Some of the chairs are connected so that they don't get haphazard and look sloppy. There may be six connected on the three wide steps with a space in between to walk up the the walk thur platfrom(on the left side) Then there may be three or four connected chairs on the other side of the space. The high back chair with the armss on the fireplace platform is also Moroccan red/brown stain. The flag will have to be on the fireplace platform to the left of the highback chair. The other way it would be in front of the amplifer panel of this section of the pipes for the organ. There are also three of the wooden chairs on the right walk thru platform by the penance office supplies closet.
There is a brick ledge along the floor of the stain glass windows on the walk thru. The bricks run sideways and have a white laminated windoww sill near the floor at the bottom of the windows between the columnc.
The air conditioning vents are 8 inches by 10 feet and are on the floor in front of the white stucco panels under the balcaney. In the center there is a 2 1/2 feet x 8 inch vent on either sides of the hutches.

The corridors off the entranceway are angled so that they cross the diagonal glass panels of the Mosque. There are five sets of stain glass windows and columns along the right and left corridors with five windows each side. We will not use the window seats for the women. There are three rows of ten dark brown metal folding chairs for them by the clear windoe. This way they could see into the Mosque and still be separate
The window seats are about seven feet wide. The seat is white laminated. The side walls are brick. They have a two foot white laminated valance over the stain glass windows. There is a column single brick wide between the stain glass window panel and the center triangle topped center panel. The bottom of the seats have a light gray metal panel with louvers. These seem to be air conditioning vents. There must be working mecanisms inside the seats.
More about corridors next time.
