Mosque Room Continued
The beams of the ceiling are ornate. They are not mitered instead there is a square corner block where they meet which may be carved. An extenisions of the beams run from the square along the sides of the window skylights to the brick wall partitions. There are three speakers in the inside of the frontbeam in the center. The three indirect lights aimed at the alter below are on the opposite side of the beam. The cnter speaker faces straight ahead and the side ones are angled to the sides. The wires probably run inside the beams to the extension that runs to the partiition closest to the music room below. The music room would have a circuit breaker panels of switches for the lights and electric plugs.
I decided that the marble stands, the alter table, the fountain sink and the bird cage stand should be white marble so the color does not clash with the colorful Moroccan tiles in the walk thru and fireplace.
The dark organ faces toward the people in the Mosque and there is a wood stand to hold music for the singer in the front of the organ. There is a microphone by the stand. There is a cble with the wires from the organ that has the wires that go to the pipes. They must run inside the brick wall under the pipes. there are square holes in the brick pattern for the speakers.
The walk thru is about 43 feet long. there are three foot columnc and the windows are about seven feet wide. There are five columns and four windows. They are abstract. the windos are about 6 feet high and the white valance above them fits like puzzle pieces. The center window comes to a triangle point. The valances match the three foot ceiling above. The valances are a bout a foot anf half in height and they are thick. About eight inches thick.
Instead of two rectangle carpets at the front there would be a runner from one side of the Mosque to the other. The runner would follow the even edge of the semi cicle carpet that follows the curve of the dark oak banches.
The brass candle holders on the white marble stands on the sides of the statues of the Muslim women have a round glass lamp to fit over the candle. The statues are life size and they would be on a base so they would not be top heavy.
There are a plug on each side of the alter platform in the outside of the bottom brick near the walls. There also are plug sockets behind the outer white marble stand by the staties. There ia a brick ledge on the floor which the clear glass windows with the panels rest on. The center panel is four feet wide and comes to a triangle point at the top. The statues would be in front of these panels. They are white stucco with a border of the brown bricks.
The entrance: When you enter there is a brick wall on each side of the entranceway about ten feet wide. The wall turns at the end and this wall has the six foot two part window that meets at the point at the top. The windows are made of two panels. Then the wall turns again and is about eight feet wide. this wall is white stucco with one dark brown metal light fixture. The light fixture is like a 10 inch bowl cut in half anf the cut part would be at the wall. The outer part is rounded lik the bowl. this is about five inches high and comes to a gentle point at the bottom in the center. The light fixtures are like this in this part of the Mosque.
The ceiling in the right angle area by the windows are eight feet high and turn at the end of the eight feet into the corridors. There are a small tree on each side by these windows in a dark green flower pot with a tray.
The ceiling in the entranceway are two stories high. There are two foot wide window panels resting from the eight foot high ceiling by the corridor entrances to the ceiling in the entranceway. At the top there are square two foot wide panels at the base of the roof. These panels go from the brick side walls when you enter to the Mosque wall. It is dramatic. The ceiling has a semicircle cutout that runs the length of the entranceway. The clear glass window in the cutout in the Mosque also fits into to this cutout an the other side of the glass walls where the enterance doors to the Mosque are. the stain glass window with the Crescent and Star also fits into this cutout. The ceinling pesk is rounded not peaked. From the edge of the cutout on either side is a rectangle panel the length of the entranceway made of textured ceiling material. These panels are between the glass ceiling windows at the edge of the roof to the rounded cutout. The stain glass window and cutout are pretty large.
The window panel in the Metal doors are on the side where the brass push plate is or the brass plate with the door pull. The windows on the metal doors are about five inches wide and three feet long.
There is a statue of a life size Mujahadeen by the brick wall on either side of the inside entrance doors to the Mosque Room. The statues are about one foot from the doors against the brick walls.
