I already am a migraine-patient and indeed a hijab and it doesn't matter in which style or which fabric would almost always make it worse. Basically because it puts pressure on the vains and small arteries, sometimes even ties them, while for a good blood flowing when you have migraines, your arteries and vains need to be wide open!

When I suffer from the migraines, I can't stand anything touching my head and to be honest, I won't and I shall not wear a hijab. I rather put on a hat and a shawl.

In all those years I have not found any (medical) solution. Just let it breath.. you know the ultimate choice lays within yourself and it the intention that is most important. If you can't, you can't.. I know it is socially not accepted by our peers, but what can you do when you have terrible pains? Make it worse so you can't function in life? Or just lock yourself in forever? I don't think so!

Succes, sister, with chosing what is the best option for you.

Sister, thank you. I am now wearing it with no problems. I just kept putting it on till my head got used to it. I use a very thin material called Georgette and don't wear it too tight. In case this has intrigued you in wanting to have another go here's a website where you can find nice thin hijabs. with this material:
