You wanted advice and there it is. You are young and do not need anyone elses woes to add to your own. A man who is not there for his child and the mother is not a man!
And it all sounds fishy to me. So as I said just back away. If you want to stay in contact with him then send him a letter every now and then. But do not get involved with his problems. Trust me there are many wondeful (and respectful) Moroccan men out there. You do not need to hold on to this one!
