The first Hip Hop festival in Morocco is to start Friday May 27 in Casablanca, Marrakech and Meknès, announced a communiqué of the US embassy's Public Affair Section in Rabat.
Held under the title ‘I love Hip Hop in Morocco', the festival aims to make the Hip Hop culture more popular in Morocco, added the same source.
Best Hip Hop and Rap bands of each city will take part in the festival along with outstanding American musicians including, Sha Stimuli, and The Embroidery Club. A duo of innovative DJs will also participate.
A number of workshops and meetings with Moroccan artists will be organized on the sidelines of the festival. This is the first festival to bring together Moroccan and American Hip Hop artists.
