It's so comfortable to wear and very versatile which you can't say about the suit. The modern day suit reflects almost the antithesis of the Jellaba. The Jellaba has flowing elegant lines while the suit is rigid and stiff, the Jellaba is comfortable to wear whereas the suit isn't especially during the summer.
I've also noticed the Jellaba is worn by more and more non Moroccans – who blames them a beautiful design has no national boundaries.
