Oh, theres ALWAYS a bad name behind your (& your husband's) back. Standard procedure regardless of nationality

Safi, baraka I think Use the other ones tho' I posted as they're more 'polite'.

If someone says: "Salam ala (some person, your husband for example)" you say 'moubalagh' (moo-ba-la-ggh). That means you will pass the salams on.
If say your MIL says so&so says hi to you (so&so ka salam aleek) say 'marhaba bsalamou' or 'e salam ali(or aleeha (f)) lkhir

You know the labass routine right? You get asked in several different ways all together but labass or alhamdulilah will cover you for all seven instances.

Oh & that thing of entering a room at a party or occasion & having to do the rounds kissing everyone (so you end up with no gloss left on your lips ). Well, a simple salam wa alaikoum and a big smile as you enter the room will draw almost everyone's attention & wipe out the need for individual kisses. This may not happen that much in Fes but people do it A LOT here & in Northern Morocco. I hate that pointless kissing which is time-wasting & pointless when you don't know who you're kissing so I follow my ma's lead & do what I said above
