It seems that there is still no confirmation that the murderer is Muslim, but let us assume he is. Do you have any proof that he based his crime on the Surah you posted above or was that just a personal theory??

I have personally never heard of these Syrian and Lebanese ritual killings you are referring to, please share some examples.

I don’t understand why you think you can come here and expect us to justify and explain certain Muslims’ actions. In Islam each Muslim is responsible for his actions in front of Allah. No one can carry someone else’s burden and that is precisely why Muslims don’t believe in the Christian concept of salvation.
