I have not much to hold against anyone having cosmetic surgery - but I am surprised on how much it has become widely acceptable to have such done, in the Arab and Muslim world...

I think it gets worrying and horrific when cosmetic surgery becomes an obsession.. I looked at a site which was posted on this thread and was surprised to see close up images of how some celebs have become after having a nips and tucks...

Personally, I'm terrified of cosmetic surgery of any sort, like what was mentioned before, such is a gamble I would never be willing to take unless, God forbid, I ended up having to need it, after an accident which left me terribly disfigured... in the ideal world, that should be the only good reason someone should have their face or body fixed.. if aesthetics's was not such a huge, obsessive issue, which encourages so many people to feel insecure about their bodies, features and the effects of aging.
