Description:
Taking place from 16 through to 26 February 2012, this will be the 15th edition of this exciting annual event, which sees one thousand 2-person teams travelling through Moroccan desert areas distributing educational and sporting supplies to schools and children in need. The event is open only to students, many of whom travel from distant countries, giving them the opportunity for fun and adventure, as well as the sense of satisfaction that comes from giving assistance where it is desperately needed and being greeted by smiling faces and overwhelming gratitude wherever they go.
Participants in the Raid 4L Trophy will cover more than 6,000 kilometers as they head for Merzouga to distribute almost 60 tons of school and sporting equipment, while at the same time respecting the environment and encouraging others to do likewise.
