Why come here?
The Dar Ouassaggou is the perfect retreat for those who want to get away from it all. Guests come here for various reasons, some come to simply relax and watch the way of life of the Berbers of the High Atlas. Others come to trek and reach the summit of Toubkal.

Trekking the Atlas Mountains
Guests can do either full or half day trekking from the guest house Ouassaggou returning each day or even longer overnight treks either to outlying villages. We also offer a 2 day 1 night expedition to North Africa’s highest peak Jbel Toubkal.

What trekking gear will I need?
If you are planning on trekking the most important piece of equipment is a good pair of walking shoes. Walking boots that give good ankle support are recommended for longer more strenuous walks.

Even though walking boots are recommended, many trek the Atlas in trainers during the summer months. Ideally you should have a set of waterproofs (yes, even in summer) and these can be borrowed from the guest house Ouassaggou if required.

Location
You can reach the house in just 1h30 drive from Marrakech airport by a private transport arranged normally by Houssine or a public taxi by own arrangement from the airport or the Medina.

60km from Marrakech in the direction of the High Atlas Mountains (Jbel Toubkal 4165 m). From Imlil you take the left dirt road direction of Tizi Ntamatert in face of Douar Ait Souka. Near the road you will find the guest house.

This is an ideal base for walking and other outdoor activities. Guides, mules and packed lunches can be organized on request. The traditional Hammam in village is the perfect way to end the day!

Please note that we are always available to advise you about anything regarding your stay in our raid, and if you wish we can also organize activities or excursions to places of interest, such as treks in the High Atlas by horseback, four-wheel drive or motorbike.
