Doukkala-Abda

Situated in west-Central Morocco, the region of Doukkala-Abda has a population of close to 2 million. The capital city of the region is Safi.

Within the 13 285 square kilometer region of Doukkala-Abda is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Mazagan, which now forms part of the city of El Jadida. This is certainly a fascinating site to visit and tourists should include this on their itinerary. Safi is a fisherman’s haven and boasts a very busy port.

The area of Doukkala itself is a natural plain rich in agriculture. The region is well known for the unique tazota architecture, a stone structure thought to originate from the time of the Portuguese occupation. The quiet region of Doukkala-Abda is a great place to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Deforestation and Urbanization is not blessing for mankind rather it brings far away from the nature. Nature has tremendous effect on human mind. Each and every individual should purify his mind periodically with the naturalization. Urbanization makes the society hard whereas forestation/agriculture makes the life soft. For periodical purification and softening your mind you can visit Doukkala-Abda.
